Old School Romantic

At 16 we all thought that we would marry our first love,we all thought this is easy but then reality hits u like a truck,but even then u never really stopped believing in love ,deep down you still think you will find someone some day,but you have become scared of love, you take things slow cause when you  fall for someone,you fall hard,you give your all perhaps that's why you end up getting hurt.
you are old school that way you believe in being on time for a date,telling them to "text back when they reach home''. Our generation has ruined it with terms like " ghosting,bread crumbing "and God knows what and then there you are,unaware of what "bread crumbing"even means.
you still believe in talking, you still believe in telling what you feel ,it's beautiful but rare that's why sometimes it goes the other way for you.
you still write those handwritten letters to the ones you love ,the ideas of date which are simple has always excited you;a lovely walk,a cup of chai and some music is perhaps your idea of perfect date
you remember the weirdest things or the first place where you met,you keep bills from your dates like they are little treasure of your relationship,her hoodie or her t-shirt somehow becomes your favorite clothing
you cannot understand the relationship your friends have,your heart longs for something permanent in the world where Instagram stories last for 24 hours.you know it's difficult, to some extent impossible but deep down you know someday you will find a weirdo who will like you for what you are and then all this wait would seem worth it.
