Game Over

 in the start it was like a good book with coffee by the window with rain outside but all good things come to an end and now its all toxic
 so i sit on my bed every night
 looking for a star but not one in sight
 so i try to sleep but all i see is you
 and then i think to myself is she feeling this too
 but before i go to sleep i smile
 even though we did not last long
 but it was worth a while.
 i ask myself why did you have to keep me hanging on so long and say goodbye
 i wish you could have told me from the start
 and now all i am left with is memories and a broken heart
i try to remember our brighter days
i don't want to associate you
with the sadness that remains
missing you hurts enough to kill
i know you don't care
and somehow i love you still
love does not happen overnight
love does not argues over what is wrong and what is right

if the only place you are searching is in the past
so we tell our self do not settle for something just because thats what you know

this time it wont be the same
yet you find yourself playing the same game
but in this game nobody will win
cause a sinner is likely to sin again
so i fall in love with you a little more every time i see you smile,i think i have burnt the bridge back to  your heart  but i try to stay afloat just in case you come back looking.....
